Do you want to make a difference in the lives of others? A degree in Psychology will give you insight into the human experience. You learn about behaviors, interaction between societies, and the impact of policy on diverse communities. As a Psychology major, you work to understand how people are affected by community, policy, and their own behavioral patterns to help them adjust to life transitions and achieve optimal mental health in everyday life.

Psychology Degree Concentrations

The Clinical/Counseling track prepares you for helping fields such as community, individual, or marital counseling.  

In the Developmental track, you learn about cognitive psychology, personality theory, and the biological bases of behavior through all stages of life.

The Experimental track prepares you for professional and graduate school programs, such as Occupational Therapy, Law School, or Ph.D. programs. You dive more deeply into qualitative and quantitative research methods through coursework including Psychological Tests and Measurements, Psychology Origins: History and Systems, Research Methods III, and a Research Practicum. 

Career Focus

Upon completion of the Bachelor of Arts: Psychology degree programs, you can pursue advanced study in psychology, as well as employment in human services settings and in mental health facilities. Typical career paths for graduates of this program include:
